I like YouTube videos of people on MPCs. This one has Damu The Fudgemunk playing his remix of "Walk In The Park" by Panacea.
Here's the complete song:
It's off of The Re-Route album, which is out now. If you're into producers like Spinna, Nicolay (Foreign Exchange), Nu-Mark (J5), and dudes like that then I highly recommend picking this up. I've been listening to my copy a lot lately. You can hear the rest of the songs on Amazon here too. Check the Doug Life remix.
The lyrics in this song are HARD. It makes me want to be from Lagos Town too, and be all like, "Fuck you punk. I'm from L.A.G.O.S." Instead, here's the song. The boys at Old Money flipped it nicely and I'm FEELIN that bass sound.
Caroline Polachek is FINE. I'd leave at that and say something like "enough said," but I like this song too. Almost as much as that slightly popular "Bruises" song. HA HA. and I dunno, as far as I've heard, Flosstradamus has only been adding to their resume of nice songs. You can download "Big Bills" at Green Label Soundhere too. Cooool.
"Inspired by the cabinets used by gunsmiths to store and carry cartridges for their custom firearms, the Gunning Box Bar ($870) mixes functionality with old-world class. The roughly two foot-tall cabinet is made from solid mahogany, with brass corners and handles, plenty of space for bottles, and door-mounted shelves for holding glasses and accessories."
This is so fucking stupid. It makes me want to barf. We all know this is happening. No big news here. But it's right in front of our freaking face! It makes me want to hate something or someone. I'm not sure exactly who or what I should direct all this at, but aaaaaarrrrrrghghghhhhhh. I don't have some kind of debate prepared or whatever, but I just want to know one thing. Why are people losing jobs and others getting bailed out? I just want an explanation so I can make sense of it all. And it seems like unless there is major (like total) reconstruction, this won't go away. It just seems like it could easily happen again.
but not for me. because i went to "GIVE UP...stop dancing and cry" tonight. it was great actually. i don't think there's much more i can say about the evening, other than amaaazing.
"turn that smile upside down with heart-shredding movie scenes projected by the Masses."
In my last post I said I was going to start ripping vinyl from my record collection. I'm sticking to it, but instead I'll be posting them at Evil Monito Magazine. I'm excited about it since I've always liked Evil Monito. So my next vinyl post is up now, and I posted "Two Hearts In 3/4 Time" by The Avalanches.

I'm going to start ripping vinyl from my collection and posting them weekly. Hopefully I'll stick to that schedule. I kind of started before (in 2006, with this Mos track), but then I didn't really follow up on it. There was this one 90s Dance jam I posted here, some 90s hip hop classic joint here, and most recently some other 90s white label over here. I guess a lot of my vinyl is from the 90s. So anyway, hopefully I'll keep up and post weekly.
For now here's an uptempo edit of a 90s R&B classic. Such a sleeper. If I hear a DJ out there play this, I will lose it in my pants. Yeah. I'll also give mad props and buy the DJ a drink. Anyway, the album version is below too.
"This Sunday is PART TIME PUNKS first-ever “Factory Records Nite” — our tribute to the greatest of all Post-Punk labels out of Manchester, England. Responsible for the discovery & release of JOY DIVISION, NEW ORDER, A CERTAIN RATIO, ESG, SECTION 25, CRISPY AMBULANCE, CRAWLING CHAOS, THE DURUTTI COLUMN… (and eventually, JAMES, HAPPY MONDAYS, THE WAKE & QUANDO QUANGO). What that means: a four-hour Freaky Dance party of all Factory Records–from the post-punk era to Madchester. (and NO live bands.)"
