Pase Rock "Get Money Kids"

Spotted on the Fully Fitted blog, it's shit like this that's getting me so excited for 2010. I'm not sure I can explain how that makes any sense, but I don't care. Maybe it doesn't. Anyway, this jam bumps so seriously. Like, I will fuck you up if you hate this. Nah, I'm joking. But I guess what I'm trying to say is, I like this song.

Korg nanoSeries

Click pic for larger view

This intrigues me.

Korg really wants you to downsize your studio with its new lineup of miniature controllers, dubbed the nanoSeries. The diminutive set includes the nanoKEY (a 25-note, velocity sensitive keyboard), the nanoPAD (12 trigger pads and a touch-sensitive X/Y touchpad), and the nanoKONTROL (a mini-mixer with nine faders, nine knobs, 18 switches, and playback controls). The modular, lilliputian gear connects via USB and are all bus-powered, though we're hoping they've got other power options so the devices can be daisy-chained. No word on pricing or availability, but you'll know when we do.

[Thanks, Tom]

Update: Looks like the Nano Pad, Nano Key, and Nano Kontrol should be available by this October, starting at somewhere around $100-120 US. Thanks, Tosse.

Time Machine "The Unfortunate Twist" (Video)

Total Time: 3:21 mins

This little blurb has nothing to do with this video, but I can definitely relate to having an 'unfortunate twist.' One day I'd like to have the balls to start a blog post off with something like, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you, and especially fuck you. But I don't. I'm not mad or anything. It's just the usual frustrations of life. Oh life. How is it you're so funny? Anyway, I'm going to watch this video by one of my favorite rap groups now. By the looks of one of the blog comments, there's a reader who has a crush on Comel. I wonder who that is?

Burn After Reading Trailer

World premiering as the opening-night film of the 2008 Venice International Film Festival; a dark spy-comedy from Academy Awards winners Joel and Ethan Coen. An ousted CIA official's (John Malkovich) memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two gym employees (Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand) intent on exploiting their find. George Clooney and Tilda Swinton also star.

White Williams "Violator" (Video)

Total Time: 3:51 mins

"Violator" is one of my favorite tracks off this album. If you haven't picked it up yet, I'd highly recommend it, if you're into some laid back electronic-y indie rock-y stoner-y psychedelic type sounding music stuff. Sorry, that's the best I can explain it. If you like the track too, download it here. If you really reeeeally like it, remix the song. Pieces of the it are up for download on the UK release site here. There's no remix competition or anything. It's just for fun. It'd be great if all of life were like that.

dâm-funk "Rollin'"

dâm-funk just posted a new track on his Myspace page. It's called "Rollin'" and I'm feelin that funk. He had another song called "Don't Make Me Funk You Up!" up for download on his Myspace page recently too, but before I go off on a tangent hear what the man himself had to say about "Rollin'":

Only 1 more day 4 "Rollin'" 2 be downloadable 'cause I gotta save SOME of this sh*t 4 the debut full length...ya' dig?...Cool.

Matter of fact, "Rollin'" is just the 'instrumental version' of a full 'vocal version'. This current version up now 4 U is a 'preview' of it. Thank U 4 your positive feedback on it. It's good 2 know ya'll still feelin' that cruisin' type sound as opposed to all the dark, hellish, "I'm Mr. angry guy makin' beats about to blow my own brains out any minute", type vibe that cats are churning out heavily right now. It's all good though. "Toeachizown".

U see, "Rollin'" is simply 4 those who like 2 ride, feel the breeze, feel good, look good, keep ya' sh*t tight, and even snag a cool female along 4 the glide...yeah. This ones 4 U! 'Cause I know ya'll out there.

So by the looks of it, I guess you better make like Too Short and get it while the gettin' is good. The tracks will only be up for another day. In the meantime, keep it funky my homies.
