Nine:Fifteen

Sometimes when I'm kickin it by myself I think, 'Dang I need some friends.' But then there are times I run across a little something special in the inbox. I click a link and hear a few songs in which I am completely fine with as being my friends for the evening. It's just that for some reason I feel like these dudes are my friends, but they're not. It would be cool if they were though cause then maybe I could be touring all over Europe and whatever with them. Now I hope they don't read this cause that would be embarrassing and I don't want to be known as dong-yanker fan-boy. Too late. So I'm just gonna do the wussy wussy fan-boy thing I do and write about how much I think their music is real dope. I hope that's alright with you. I won't go on for too long though, but let me just say. They just might actually make me really get back into Hip Hop. Yes, it's true. I'm sorry, but I've strayed for a while. I feel like I've been listening to it for so long I can do that though, no?

In any case, remember when I was talking about Count Bass D and talkin' about how he's got crazy style, like more than mom's old clothes and all that? Well these doods must drink the same water, breathe the same air, eat the same food, or breast feed from the same magic music momma or something like that (just sayin) because their music has got mad crazy style too. As a matter of fact, Blake9 the producer for the crew Nine:Fifteen (which consists of Blake9 and Comel_15 whom you probably know from Time Machine) put out an EP out called Art For Art's Sake with Count Bass D. Comel actually peeped me on it because I was interested in a song I heard from a Mekalek mixtape Jaysonic passed my way. and this dood Mike actually peeped me on Time Machine, but that's another story.

Well who the hell am I talking about? Actually, I really can't say because there is no one name to call them under. For this post specifically (but not to take away from the rest of them) I'll call them Nine:Fifteen, Time Machine and all their friends because all of 'em are good. Seriously. but everything I have ever heard from this group of artists in the past 6 years or so has been consistently freaking dope. and if you don't know, that is seriously a lot to say. It's the consistency man. You probably know them as People Under The Stairs, Giant Panda, Tres, Glow In The Dark, and everyone else I named earlier in this post.

So to cut a long story short and say something really cool, "I like makin beats, makin love and makin dinner" so I gotta jet right now (my boo's callin) but check out the upcoming 12" from Nine:Fifteen. It's called Walking Thru Fire. Trust me.
