Nosaj Thing | Views | The Change Up, V.01

If you're one of the five people that ever tune in to KIR Radio you might remember Nosaj Thing when he was down here at the station and did a little live set. Well, he's still on the grind and giggin around LA. He'll be playing a show tomorrow (Friday, 10/20) in Pasadena with Sixtoo. The kid is nice and he's able to make electric sound like emotion. The Untapped guys seem to like him too. They put his "Aquarium" track on their first compilation, The Change Up, V.01. Bobby Johnson opens the comp. up nice with "Cadillac Steeze". Check it boyeee.

Juan Maclean is Gangsta...

...he jumped down from his DJ set in Atlanta and punched a drunk fan in the face, real hard. The drunkard was messing with a mic stand and jacked up The Juan's set.

However, everything is all good now. They've made up, they both said sorry, and they ended it in a it's cool though sort of way.

The story's really funny actually. Check it here.

Kentucky Fried's Chickenheads & skinny piggies.

Everyone knows that you can't get no bacon from dem skinny piggies—the trick is ya gots ta turn dem into the meaty ones that ya done fed all the "good stuff" (please see the McVideo game below). I think that there are a lot of people telling us that the sky is falling. I say if it IS falling someone better get me a bacon-wrapped chicken-pastrami burger with a side of bikini wrapped chickenhead please!

Here's a story of a man named...

I have the theme song from the Brady Bunch in my iTunes for some reason. Gilligan's Island and Hawaii 5-O are there too. I have this strange addiction when it come to my iTunes— I must fill in the information in as many columns as possible. During the process of blank-filling I tend to keep bits of useless trivia attached to my brain cells. I don't want to—but it happens. Like, did you know that the first season didn't use the Brady Kids to sing the song? It was a group called The Peppermint Trolley Company. And did you know that the dad was supposed to be Gene Hackman and that the house is really a one story with a skylight to make it look like a two-story? Wow. I want to delete this post because it's getting creepily stalkerish and gay but I've, again, vested too much time. Here's the Google mapped Brady House for you to look at. By clicking to it I won't feel so "alone".

Los Super Elegantes...

Dang, I should have posted about these guys sooner. The homie Rayian told me about Los Super Elegantes a while back, but I didn't want to share. I've been seeing more about them around town and figured I'd piss on this hydrant now, before it's too late. They're sort of like a Spanish singing and a like make me feel sort of like ooweee sort of like. Although, I think Matthew makes a better description here.

Wanna see for yourself? They're playing a show in LA on 10/28. ESG is headlining and it's with Mika Miko. Check here for more info. I think it was moved to Safari Sam's.

Normal

Move your face closer and farther away from the computer screen while staring at that black dot in the middle and see what happens.

Don't worry. It won't turn into a piece of poo poo or anything.

Now that I got you to do that... check this out. You're now hypnotized and must listen to everything I say. I'm going to give you simple instructions for one task and after that I will count down from 3. After I count down from 3 you will forget everything and do as I say. Now here goes. Give me food. 3,2,1... go!

McVideogame.

There are BILLIONS of hamburger eateries around the nation—why do the "huggers" always attack the friendly clown?

They could attack the "King" but he's too weird. I mean poking around trees, standing in windows, balancing on steel girders a trillion feet above the ground. Echh. Weird. They could go after Jack... but he's too funny. They could go after "Wendy" herself but she's a chick...and you just don't DO that. They could hit up In-N-Out but they're smart... they don't have an actual character. Ok, I get it. Ronald's got a gang! A bird, a burglar...a purple blob. McD's pop caps in your ass in a money-hungry, moral-free, kill-the-third-world through psychological dominance, corporate type way. Ok, not really. But to PLAY the game you got to get your head in it.

Just in time for Halloween!

It's a remix. A pure unadulterated remix. Where the hell did I put my red outfit....

Anthony David and Glue

ANTHONY DAVID - The Red Clay Chronicles
Here comes more from the ATL. This album is heat. Anthony David is touted by Billboard to be one of the artists to hit pay dirt soon. The Red Clay Chronicles moves away from the stripped-down soul sound of his debut outing three Chords and the truth by infusing more texture to the rhythm by paying more attention to the beats. He brings to the boards the energy of Tori Alamaze (singer of the original ‘Dontcha’), Laurnea, Keisha Jackson—he also brings two Grammy winners: close friend India.Arie and master guitarist Earl Klugh. RCC is a mature step for David and should get him VIP access to the areas that only the top soul/R&B artists get to enjoy. —Anthonydavidmusic.com

GLUE - Catch As Catch Can
The shitty part about being labeled “underground” is the fact that 99 percent of you will suck ass 100 percent of the time. The shitty part about being part of the “underground” is that all of you are 100 percent sure that you are in the 1 percent. The trio of Glue—Adeem (the frontman and two-time emcee winner of Scribble Jam a competition where Eminem couldn’t even win once); DJDQ (virtuoso tablist from the Animal Crackers); and Maker (production guru with an intense, densely layered style)—offers a minimum audio standard. Along with their resumé, please consider their solo debut sales of 10,000 units (independently, mind you) and their stage regimen of 250 shows in 2-years (including the entire Warped Tour) to help you decide if you should continue on your useless sidepath to your career as a barista.—Fatbeats.com

Moons over Laguna...

I find some of the most random things sometimes. You see, I was searching for the name of the Earth's moon. (No, the name of our moon is not "Moon". It's Luna.) Anyway one thing led me to another and I find that Laguna, Ca will have MANY moons this coming July 2007.
